• Ability to prepare and validate cost estimates & cost reports throughout the project lifecycle. • Able to implement and use state-of-the-art tools and techniques. • Able to show a decrease project costs by validating vendor and contractor estimates and by challenging their prices. • Able to analyse, scrutinise and interpret cost data to find cost estimate relationships. • Good working knowledge of the JCT and NEC suite of contracts. • Skilled in building cost estimate models, estimating methods and templates to improve estimating techniques. • Able to extract performance metrics and benchmark projects to provide advice to decision-makers. • Able to apply cost control and earned value techniques to monitor, assess and forecast project performance. • Able to identity innovative ways in which quality of service can be improved & ideas for reducing costs & for efficiency improvements. Certification • MRICS Chartered Quantity Surveyor status
