Choosing NCEA subjects
All students require University Entrance for admission to the University of Waikato, but some degrees have additional entry requirements and/or include first-year papers with specific prerequisites. Use this guide to ensure you are prepared for your chosen degree. This guide indicates which degrees have specific requirements or include papers with prerequisites and which school subjects are recommended. Students who do not meet the requirements may be directed to take certain bridging papers in their first year of study. All students are advised to apply for their preferred degree. Future Student Advisers and Faculty Academic Advisers will assist students with planning their programme of study. For more information email info@waikato.ac.nz or call 0800 WAIKATO .
