Drop-in General Interest Childminding (2 months - 5 years) *NEW PROCESS* Participate in on-site programs while children enjoy a bright play space. A safe, supervised setting supports exploration, play, and social interaction with age-appropriate activities. Registration is recommended for limited-capacity drop-in. One-hour blocks include 15 minutes before and after as a grace period for transitions. Details and schedule: newwestcity.ca/childminding təməsew̓txʷ Aquatic and Community Centre 604-777-5100 Childminding Fee: $6.25 / 60 minutes, $49.25 / 10 hours After-School Kids Club (8 - 11 years) Hang out with other kids, share fun books, and enjoy a variety of activities in this drop-in after school program at the Queensborough Branch of the New West Public Library. Babytime (0 - 12 months, 0 - 23 months) Join us for quality one-on-one time with your little one as we learn literacy-building rhymes and songs. Our Main Branch and Anvil Centre programs are specially geared toward infants in their first year; for older babies please see our Toddler Time program or Babytime at our Queensborough branch.
Baby Social (0 - 23 months) Connect with other new parents in this casual opportunity to socialize and share. Brick Builders (5 - 11 years) Join us for LEGO activities packed with fun, teamwork and friendship. Build LEGO creations using one of our many kits. No drop-in on Friday, September 25 & October 23. Knitting & Crochet (6 - 12 years) Knit and crochet with other children and receive guidance from staff. Get help with a project of your own or work on one of the same projects as participants. Movement Explorers (0 - 5 years) Caregiver Participation Children develop coordination, balance, strength, agility, and confidence while exploring movement and physical literacy through active play, music, games, and obstacle-based activities alongside caregivers. Open Gym - Children (6 - 12 years) Play recreational sports such as basketball, volleyball, etc. with other participants. Toddler Time (1 - 3 years) Enjoy a fun and active storytime specifically geared toward toddlers and their caregivers.
