Shaping the future of parks and recreation in New Westminster The People, Parks and Play Comprehensive Plan reflects what residents shared about the programs, services, parks, and spaces they want for the future. As part of the City’s 10-year Parks and Recreation Master Plan, key improvements are already underway to expand, renew, and enhance park amenities and facilities across New Westminster. Highlights include: • Ecological restoration at Glenbrook Ravine Park • New multi-sport courts at several neighbourhood parks • A future covered all-weather multi-sport facility at Hume Park • The westward expansion of Westminster Pier Park with more riverfront space
