S t. Louis King of France Catholic School (SLKF) nurtures and educates children from 6 weeks old through 7th grade. Mrs. Danielle Neyrey, Director of the Little Crusaders Program (PK0-PK2), began her career at SLKF as a teacher after earning her bachelor’s degree and Early Childhood Education certification. She has taught multiple grades and became Early Childhood Director in 2023, continuing SLKF’s commitment to excellence. Principal Pamela Schott has led SLKF since 2005, reopening the school post-Hurricane Katrina. Under her leadership, SLKF launched the Little Crusaders Program, enhanced academics, added extracurriculars, upgraded technology, improved facilities, and celebrated rising student test scores.

SLKF. It’s a small town, family feeling encased in an ever-growing metropolis filled with a unique culture and history. What products/services do you offer? SLKF offers care and education in a loving, accepting, and thoughtful environment to children ages 6 weeks through 7th grade. Students in PK3-7th grade are able to attend aftercare and participate in extracurricular activities. SLKF offers afterschool activities, including sports, art, academic-based clubs, drama, choir, an in-house television broadcast called WBUK-TV, speech and debate, and much more. Opportunities for parents and families to participate and become involved in our school, parish, and community are extended via The Parents’ Club, Men’s Club, and many parish ministries.

How is SLKF involved in our community? SLKF chooses a faith-based theme every school year. This year our theme is “We Are God’s Masterpiece.” Throughout the year, our students and families participate in monthly service projects. We host family mission nights where we make sandwiches for the homeless. We have a thriving Beautification Committee who helps clean our campus and surrounding areas every day. We have partnered with Keep Louisiana Beautiful during our Bucktown Seafood Festival and participate in Love The Boot Week to keep our neighborhood clean and green. What is special about New Orleans to SLKF? New Orleans is jam-packed with thriving communities that center on family and tradition. The feeling of family surrounds us no matter the location. Familiar faces and a sense of home follow us wherever we go. We attempt to emulate such a feeling at
