Dr. David Pope, a general orthopedic surgeon with over 20 years of experience, focuses on knee arthroscopy, sports medicine, and joint replacement, earning accolades for his contributions to the community. Dr. Julie Neumann, a dual fellowship-trained foot and ankle surgeon with a passion for sports medicine, provides comprehensive care for injuries and conditions affecting the foot, ankle, knee, and shoulder. Dr. Charles Cefalu, a fellowship-trained hand and upper extremity surgeon, specializes in complex reconstructions and peripheral neuropathy. Dr. Mark Tyson Garon, a Baton Rouge native and board-certified hand surgeon, delivers advanced treatment for conditions such as arthritis, carpal tunnel syndrome, and ligament injuries. Our Athletic Training (AT) Program consists of 17 full-time athletic trainers supporting 15 high schools, a community recreation league, and the semi-professional Baton Rouge Rougarou , providing expert care to students and athletes at minimal to no cost. We’ve also partnered with ELITE Training Academy to open a new Sports Medicine Complex , offering clinical care, physical therapy, and performance training. Additionally, we support STEM education and the Baton Rouge Ochsner Discovery School , collaborate with Southern University on the Jag Mobile , and provide volunteer opportunities for employees, reinforcing our dedication to a healthier, stronger Baton Rouge.
