With a legacy of producing memorable and diverse shows, the theatre is proud to announce its 25th Silver Anniversary season in 2025. This milestone celebrates a quarter-century of storytelling, community, and artistic achievement. Dustin Delaune, the current president of ACT, has been an integral part of the organization since 2012. What began as an internship has grown into a decade of dedication, leadership, and creative contributions. Delaune became president of the board in 2018, leading the theatre with passion and a vision for its future. As the theatre steps into its Silver Anniversary season, the focus remains on producing quality theatre for everyone while continuing to foster a love for the performing arts in the community. ACT is committed to expanding its educational outreach and opportunities, ensuring the next generation of performers and creators have a place to thrive. Theatre is a volunteer-based organization that has been home to phenomenal stage productions since December Looking ahead, the theatre has an exciting lineup planned for its Silver Anniversary season, including beloved classics, thought- provoking dramas, and dynamic musicals. Each production is designed to honor the theatre’s legacy while welcoming new audiences into the fold. For Delaune, the magic of ACT lies in its ability to be a second home for so many. It’s a place where creativity flourishes and where people of all backgrounds are embraced. “Theatre people are some of the most accepting people out there. ACT has always been a second home for me. It’s where I discovered so much about myself and about life. My hope is that everyone feels that sense of belonging when they walk through our doors,” says Delaune. “That’s the beauty of theatre—it’s a place where you can truly be yourself.” As Ascension Community Theatre celebrates 25 years of artistry, it remains committed to its mission: bringing people together through the transformative power of theatre.
