YEAR ABROAD Students going on a year abroad may study at a partner university, complete a work placement or teaching assistantship. Options and destinations will vary depending on your course. SEMESTER ABROAD Some courses allow you to spend a semester abroad. This is usually during the second year of a three-year degree. CSU appealed to me as they had a variety of unique classes that I couldn’t find anywhere else. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. My year abroad has helped me establish a topic for my final year dissertation in Swansea and I was welcomed with open arms by every person I met.

Volunteering in Fiji has been one of the best experiences of my life. It was rewarding in so many ways and not something I had ever considered doing before. I lived with a Fijian family and volunteered in schools. Working with the children was fantastic and the Fijian people and lifestyle is something that will stay in my memories forever.
