Our Audiology degree will give you an expert understanding of the science of hearing, balance, and the conditions that affect them. It combines academic work with the practical clinical experience you need to become an audiologist. You will use the latest diagnostic equipment and software in our state-of-the-art facilities and build your skills in work placements at hospitals across Wales.

The course is accredited by the National School of Healthcare Science and many of our academic staff are practising clinicians, providing invaluable professional insight and expertise. Our excellent facilities provide realistic workplace simulations and you will benefit from experience in our award-winning, on-site Health and Wellbeing Academy, which provides health and wellbeing services for the local community, including an audiology clinic in collaboration with the NHS. As an audiology student, you will spend around half of your course on clinical work placements throughout Wales, which will give you the practical skills you need to begin your career.

FUTURE CAREERS: Currently the NHS starting salary for healthcare scientists is £24,214 (Band 5). Typical career earnings go up to £43,772 however the maximum earning potential for a consultant in the NHS is £102,506. Salaries can vary significantly in the private sector.
