GEOGRAPHY SINGLETON PARK CAMPUS

Geography is vital in our globally interconnected world. It helps us understand human-environment relationships, and how they vary across time and space. Geography allows us to discover, record and shape the places we inhabit today and in the future. Our location offers unparalleled access to rural, coastal and urban environments: Gower Peninsula, Brecon Beacons, industrial and post-industrial landscapes of South Wales.

Alongside cutting-edge knowledge and mastery of key concepts, we place a strong emphasis on active learning through fieldwork. You can customise your degree with a mixture of human and physical geography to cater to your interests. Each module provides training in either the theory or practice of a different aspect of the subject (social, environmental, cultural, historical, political geography). We will equip you with the professional tools and graduate mindset you will need to help solve some of today’s ‘grand challenges’. Assessments are diverse and integrative, allowing you to confidently master critical thinking, problem solving, leadership, entrepreneurship and team-working skills. Our four-year schemes combine study at Swansea University with a year's work placement with a relevant employer or organisation, or a year spent studying Geography at an overseas institution.
