NOTICE OF A COMPLETE APPLICATION AND OF PUBLIC MEETING CONCERNING PROPOSED OFFICIAL PLAN AND ZONING BY-LAW AMENDMENTS (Cartier Boulevard / D09-40 & D14-125) TAKE NOTICE that the Municipal Council of the Corporation of the Town of Hawkesbury will hold a public meeting on Monday, August 25th , 2014 at 6:30 p.m. at Town Hall, 600 Higginson Street to consider proposed amendments to the Official Plan and to Zoning By-law no 20-2012, under Sections 17 and 34 of the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990. The proposed amendments would affect the land located at 888-920 Cartier Boulevard, designated as being parts of Lots 11 and 12 of Plan M-18, parts 1,2,3,4,5,8,9,10,11,12 & 13 of Plan 46R-1380 and parts 1,2 & 3 of Plan 46R-1453, in the Town of Hawkesbury, County of Prescott. The lot area is 4.997 acres. The purpose of the proposed amendments consists of redesignating the land in order to propose a residential condominium development project which will be comprised of seven (7) multi-residential building of eight (8) units and one multiple residential building of ten (10) units for a total of 66 residential units. The proposed Zoning By-law amendment would rezone the property from Local Commercial District (CL) to Residential District Zone 4 – exception (R4-x). The proposed Zoning By-law amendment will be specific and adapted according to the proposed project. IF A PERSON or public body does not make oral submissions at a public meeting or make written submissions to the Corporation of the Town of Hawkesbury before the proposed official plan and zoning by-law is adopted, the person or public body is not entitled to appeal the decision of the approval authority, being the United Counties of Prescott and Russell, to the Ontario Municipal Board. IF A PERSON or public body does not make oral submissions at a public meeting or make written submissions to the Corporation of the Town of Hawkesbury before the proposed official plan and zoning by-law is adopted, the person or public body is not entitled to be heard by the Ontario Municipal Board, except if the Ontario Municipal Board considers the reasons to be heard to be reasonable. ANY PERSON wishing to be notified of the adoption of the Official Plan and Zoning By- law amendments must make a written request to the Planning Department, 600 Higginson Street, Hawkesbury. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION relating to the proposed amendments to the Official Plan and Zoning By-law no 20-2012 is available to the public during normal office hours (8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.) at the Planning Department located at 600 Higginson Street, Hawkesbury.
