S erija „Sveci“, koju produ- cira slavni Martin Skor- seze, imaće osam jed- nočasovnih epizoda i istraživaće priče izuzet- nih muškaraca i žena koji su rizi- kovali sve da bi otelotvorili najple- menitiju i najkompleksniju suštinu ljudskog roda – veru. – Skoro ceo život živeo sam sa pričama o svecima, razmišljajući o njihovim rečima i delima, zamišlja- jući svetove u kojima su živeli, iz- bore sa kojima su se suočavali, pri- mere koje su davali. Ovo su priče o osam vrlo različitih muškaraca i že- na. Svako od njih živeo je u potpuno različitim istorijskim periodima, a svi su išli putem ljubavi koji se nji- ma i nama otkriva u Isusovim reči- ma u jevanđeljima. Radujem se što je ovaj projekat u toku i što radim sa toliko pouzdanih i talentovanih saradnika – kaže Martin Skorseze. Autorski tim je već u Beogradu, gde će se snimati deo serijala u sa- radnji sa produkcijom „Firefly“ i nji- hovim studijima, ali snimaće se i na drugim lokacijama u Srbiji. – Imao sam veliku čast da radim sa legendarnim Krekom na filmu Be- rija Levinsona „The Survivor“. Po- zvao me je u Beograd, došao sam, zaljubio se u grad i obećao mu da ću se vratiti da ovde snimam – izjavio je kreator i izvršni producent Ma- ti Lešem. Scenograf Miljen Kreka Kljako- vić, kome je bogata međunarodna karijera donela mnoge nagrade i pri- znanja, oživeće atmosferu četiri isto- rijske priče. Serija će biti prikazana u novembru.
N ew series The Saints, which is being exec- utive produced by famous filmmak- er Martin Scorsese, will include eight one-hour episodes exploring the stories of exception- al men and women who risked all in order to embody the most noble and complex essence of the human race: faith. “I’ve lived with the stories of the saints for most of my life, thinking about their words and actions, im- agining the worlds they inhabited, the choices they faced, the exam- ples they set. These are stories of eight very different men and wom- en, each of them living through vast- ly different periods of history and struggling to follow the way of love revealed to them and to us by Je- sus’s words in the gospels. I’m so excited that this project is under-
way, and that I’m working with so many trusted and talented collab- orators,” noted Scorsese. The international crew is already in Belgrade, where the series will be partly shot in cooperation with Firefly Productions and its studios, but also at other locations in Serbia. “I had the great honour of work- ing with the legendary Kreka on Bar- ry Levinson’s The Survivor. He in- vited me to Belgrade, I came, fell in love with the city and promised him that I would return to film here,” said the series’ creator and execu- tive producer Matti Leshem. Production designer Miljen “Kreka” Kljaković, who has re- ceived many awards and acknowl- edgements during his rich interna- tional career, will bring to life the atmosphere of four historical sto- ries. It is set to premiere this No- vember.
