Serbia has emerged over the past decade as a vital region in the Web3 world, with Belgrade hou- sing over 50 companies in this rapid- ly expanding industry. On top of that, Serbia has been actively working to foster its Web3 ecosystem by buil- ding potent organisations and initiati- ves. “That’s why the establishment of “Excellent 3,” the first supercluster in Serbia within the Web3 domain, co- mes as no surprise. Thankfully, ICT Hub and USAID have embraced the promising potential of innovations and have, through the Serbia Innova- tes project, been steadfast suppor- ters of the advancement into Web3,” said Supercluster Excellent3 Director Sanja Ugrčić Pavlović. The close partnership between Belgrade Blockchain Week and the supercluster, for the second conse- cutive year, is a good sign that Serbia is ready to present to the whole world the finest contributions of its vibrant community.

The inaugural Blockchain Week surpassed all expectations, attra- cting over 1,000 attendees, 100 speakers and numerous sponsors and ancillary events. With its vibrant tech scene and unparalleled hospita- lity, Belgrade captivated visitors, ear- ning its reputation as a global block- chain hub. Following the resounding succe- ss of its first edition, Belgrade Block- chain Week returns in 2024, sche- duled to take place from 31 st May to 9 th June. As was the case in 2023, the focal point of this year’s Belgrade
Blockchain Week will be the ETH Bel- grade conference, a three-day event fully devoted to Ethereum, the se- cond-largest blockchain. ETH Belgra- de will host prominent Web3 experts, leaders, engineers and investors. Pri- or to the conference, hackers from all around the world will have a chance to participate in the second edition of ETH Belgrade Hackathon. The hac- kathon holds a critical role, with orga- nisers anticipating a larger prize po- ol and more innovative project ideas than last year. During Blockchain Week, atten- dees will get a chance to attend mo- re than 30 independent events inc- luding panel debates, workshops, meetups, start-up sessions, networ- king and even parties.
