RAKO, X-label, Baumgarten Merge

The management of RAKO, X-label and Baumgarten have announced that the three companies will merge with plans to create a label printing “powerhouse” that will stretch from Latin America, across Europe and Asia. The new group of companies will have more than 3,000 employees spread over 30 produc- tion sites worldwide and a turnover in excess of $500 million. The merger combines RAKO group and X-label group from Germany, and Brazilian Baumgarten group.The headquarters of the new group will be sit- uated in Witzhave near Hamburg, Germany. Matthias Kurtz (supply chain), Adrian Tippenhauer (sales and business development),Tim Fiedler (finance) and Jan Oberbeck (sales and business development) will serve as partner-CEOs of the newly formed group. The full integration is currently underway with com- pletion expected in 2017 at which point the name of the new company will be made public. Inovar Packaging Group Acquires LabelPrint America Inovar Packaging Group, LLC, a label manufacturer headquartered in Arlington, Texas, has purchased La- belPrint America of Newburyport, Massachusetts.The Idealliance Ideadvisors business advisory group was retained by LabelPrint to help it find a buyer that would support its growth strategies. Tony Yemma, LabelPrint America’s Owner and Chief Executive Officer, will join Inovar as a Sales Consultant. LabelPrint America’s President, Robin Hamilton, will serve as a member of Inovar’s man- agement team as a Vice President and the General Manager of LabelPrint America.The LabelPrint Amer- ica division of Inovar will continue to operate from the Newburyport location. Earlier this year, Inovar acquired three label compa- nies: Murray Label & Printing in nearby Dallas,Texas; 21st Century Labels & Packaging in Fort Lauderdale, Florida; and SafePrints in Miami, Florida.
