Esko To Conduct Brand Packaging Events

Esko is conducting three regional Brand Packaging & Technology Summits.The free events will take place: • October 4: M Club Room at TCF Stadium - Univer- sity of Minnesota, Minneapolis, Minnesota, event and stadium tour. • October 12: Founders Brewery, Grand Rapids, Michigan, event and group dinner. • October 20: Georgia Aquarium, Atlanta, Georgia, event and entrance into aquarium. “While Esko has a long-standing heritage with a ma- jority of package printers and converters, as the needs of the packaging supply chain continue to evolve, we are increasingly gaining traction with our packaging so- lutions directed to brand owners,” explained Joe Ecker- le, Esko Brand Owner Director.“More and more brands in fast-moving consumer goods and pharmaceuticals understand the need for efficient solutions to get their packaging from ideation to shelf faster while still avoid- ing costly errors. Especially with increased regulatory requirements — including the recent changes to the Nutritional Facts Table — there is need for information and guidance. These summits are one way that Esko can help its brand owner customers and contacts.” While the program will be sponsored by Esko,Media- Beacon (developer of its asset management solution), GlobalVision (provider proofreading technologies), X- Rite (providers of complete end-to-end color manage- ment solutions), and Corbus (specializing in leveraging innovative processes and technology), will also partici- pate in some or all of the events. Finding Solutions The full-day agenda will begin with a complete demonstration of brand management solutions, in- cluding project briefing, structural packaging develop- ment, graphic design development, the merging of 3D structure and graphics, packaging management, auto- mated content and design inspection, project collabo- ration and approval, and digital asset management. Due to the particular importance and short timeline for compliance of the recent changes and require- ments to the U.S. FDA Nutritional Facts Table, there will be considerable focus on content management and new software to easily create updated FDA nutritional templates on existing packaging.After lunch, there will be a group discussion about industry challenges and trends (particularly regulatory, social/mobile pressure, supply chain complexities, technology adoption and process standardization). The remainder of the day is reserved for rotating breakout sessions where smaller groups can dive deeper into each solution.
