HI-LIGHTS Nov. 19 - Dec. 23, 2021 SPOTLIGHT Professional Services stakeholders, and state and local dignitaries in the ribbon- cutting ceremony of the new UNITI Cultural Center, Satur- day, October 23 at Stony Brook University. The new UNITI Cultural Center embraces all ethnicities; where students feel a sense of belonging and welcomed by a larger unified campus community. and environmental wall and window graphics, the space communicates a welcoming atmosphere to students of all backgrounds. The space encourages interaction begin- ning with a welcome desk and open lounge area with comfort- able, flexible seating. On the perimeter, there are large and small conference rooms, study nooks and work rooms, cultural corner for quiet reflection and office space. Walls wrapped with impactful multicultural graphics and powerful inspi- rational icons and messages immerse visitors. Some of the dramatic design features include a glass exteri - or where users and passers-by can see the colorful and playful mix of organic structures, fur - niture, finishes and graphics. The Student Experience is state of the art with diverse and dynamic huddle spaces, lounge spaces and study spaces.

They have also accomplished large design-build projects, which to date exceeds $415 mil - lion in aggregate construction costs. Onyx Equities welcome eight new restaurants to Gateway Center’s “The Junction” inNewark
NEWARK, NJ — Gateway Center owner/developer Onyx Equities LLC and Newark Mayor Allison Ladd led a celebration of the latest milestone in its program to transform Gateway into the New Jersey’s hub for business, retail, dining, and entertain- ment: eight new restaurants have signed leases at The Junction, Gateway’s 100,000 s/f retail and hospitality des- tination. The restaurants were careful- ly curated to provide a variety of cuisine options with grab-and- go convenience and full-service offerings including: Serafina, Brooklyn Dumpling Shop, Fresh &Co, Greek fromGreece Bakery & Café, Farinella, 375˚ Chicken & Fries, Chip City Cookies and The Brookdale. The developer also announced it would create a platform to connect Newark’s robust talent pool with the restauranteurs through a job fair and invited City agencies to be involved.
