How Stem Cells Know Where to Go
MSCs naturally home in on inflamed or damaged tissue. They follow biological “distress signals” such as:
SDF-1 (stromal-derived factor) MCP-1 and other chemokines Reactive oxygen species and low oxygen environments
When these signals are present, MSCs:
Exit the bloodstream at targeted sites Sense local tissue conditions (pH, cytokines, cell stress) Release precisely what that tissue needs to recover
Think of them as biological first responders—showing up where they’re needed, assessing the scene, and delivering custom, high-potency healing support.
