MICHAEL D. HALL, PH.D. Program Manager, Congressionally Directed Medical Research Programs, U.S. Army Medical Research & Development Command Dr. Michael Hall serves as the Program Manager for the Prostate Cancer Research Program where he leads the Integrated Program Team. He provides strategic oversight of the annual $110M PCRP appropriation to achieve the mission to fund research that will eliminate death and suffering from prostate cancer, and enhance the well-being of Service members, Veterans, and men and their families experiencing the impact of the disease. Dr. Hall holds a Ph.D. degree in Tumor Biology from the Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center at Georgetown University, and dual Bachelor’s degrees in Marine and Molecular Biology from the Florida Institute of Technology. ELISABETH HEATH, MD, FACP Barbara Ann Karmanos Cancer Institute | Wayne State University School of Medicine Dr. Heath is the Patricia C. and E. Jan Hartmann endowed chair in Prostate Cancer Research at the Barbara Ann Karmanos Cancer Institute, and professor of Oncology and Medicine at Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit, Michigan. Dr. Heath has more than 26 years of experience and is a leading patient advocate for the metro Detroit community. At the 2019 and 2020 ZERO Prostate Cancer Summits, she spoke about funding clinical trials and how that translates into better care for prostate cancer patients. CHRIS HODGSON Principal and Director, Cornerstone Government Affairs Prior to joining Cornerstone in March of 2021, Chris served as director of legislative affairs to Vice President Mike Pence. As the Vice President’s top liaison to Congress, Chris managed relationships with House and Senate leadership, congressional committees and caucuses, and members of Congress, while working to coordinate and execute efforts to achieve the Administration’s legislative priorities. Chris served in the Office of Majority Whip Steve Scalise (R-LA) from 2014 to 2017 as floor assistant and then deputy floor director. In his role as deputy floor director, Chris helped guide critical bills, such as healthcare reform, Trade Promotion Authority, and 21st Century Cures, through the legislative process and worked with Members and their staff to address policy concerns and promote their legislative priorities. KATHERINE KLOS, MD Dr. Katherine Klos is a board-certified urologist who has developed a practice focusing on pelvic floor dysfunction. Dr. Klos received her Bachelor of Science in Anthropology from the University of Notre Dame and her medical degree from the University of Alabama. She completed her urology training at George Washington University in Washington, D.C. Dr. Klos takes a compassionate, comprehensive, and integrative approach to her patients in order to achieve the best outcomes. She values taking time to establish a trusting and lasting doctor-patient relationship. ALI MANSON, MPH Vice President, Government Relations & Advocacy, ZERO Prostate Cancer Ali Manson is ZERO’s Vice President of Government Relations and Advocacy. She is an experienced government relations professional with expertise in health policy, and has a passion for health and wellness. Ali leads ZERO efforts to advocate for prostate cancer research funding and new treatments. In Ali’s previous role at the American Optometric Association (AOA), she took the concerns of eye doctors and patients to policymakers to demand change. Prior to AOA, she worked for Prevent Blindness as the Director of Government Affairs, leading policy efforts to improve vision health across the country.
