A Note From The Seller
Why we've loved living in this home....
We hope you will love and enjoy this house, neighborhood and Wilmette as much as we did.
Our street is quiet and peaceful with little traffic because there is a cul de sac at one end and McKenzie elementary school at the other.
We love the proximity to and walkability of downtown Wilmette with its restaurants, coffee shops, post office, movie theater, library and train station.
We are so close to Gilson Park and the Green Bay bike trail, too. We have enjoyed spending beautiful days on Lake Michigan on our 16’ sailboat and paddleboard.
The house has the charm and unique features of a home built in the 1920s, but has recently been equipped for the 2020s. With new windows, a new high efficiency boiler and water heater, new exterior French drains and a 220V 60Ah outlet in the garage to recharge an EV, this house is ready for its next season of life. While you are discovering the house in the winter, picture yourself on the screened in back porch where we lived from spring to fall. It is one of the spaces we will miss the most! It overlooks the beautiful fully fenced in and private backyard with low- maintenance landscaping. Another highlight is our wonderful large kitchen, which has tons of counter and cabinet space as well as a walk-in pantry and space for studying or working at the table, counter or built-in desk.
We wish you and your family many years of fun, friends and memories in this house!
