Who is Responsible for Safeguarding Adults?
Sam’s needs, disability, and situation mean that he could be at risk of abuse or neglect. He is therefore someone with safeguarding needs.
But who should be responsible for safeguarding him?
The answer is everyone.
Everyone , whatever their role, should know how to recognise issues and who to speak to if they need to report concerns.
