What do ukuleles, fishing poles and museum passes have in common? They are all things you can check out with a library card. Anne Arundel County Public Library offers several unexpected treasures in its Library of Things that are perfect for springtime enjoyment.

Library cardholders can checkout: • Birding kits (Maryland City at Russett Library) • Fishing poles (Deale, Eastport-Annapolis Neck, Edgewater and Mountain Road libraries) • Ukuleles (Glen Burnie Library) • Museum passes for Historic London Town & Gardens, Hammond-Harwood House Museum, William Paca House & Gardens and the Museum of Historic Annapolis

• Healing Library: Death of a Loved One Kits • Wi-Fi hotspots • Chromebooks with a Wi-Fi hotspot • C-PEN ReaderPens • CAC Readers for military service customers (Maryland City at Russett, Odenton and Severn libraries) • Launchpad learning tablets

Customers can also use the memory lab at the Odenton Library to digitize home movies, records and audio cassettes along with scanning photographs, negatives and slides. Additionally, the makerspace at the Busch Annapolis Library offers access to a sewing machine, button maker and more. Of course, you can still enjoy what AACPL is known for - more than a million books, magazines, movies and other items. Along with our extensive list of programs for all ages, included in this magazine, a library card truly is the best card in your wallet.
