CHELSEA MARIE COLEMAN &
in 2016, aaron and chelsea met at the country music festival Jamboree in the Hills. Aaron turned on the charm and completely won Chelsea over with his cooking skills and his ability to keep her constantly laughing. A few years later, he proposed by creating a dessert menu with the food descriptions detailing reasons he loved Chelsea. The proposal took place during brunch at Cody’s in Bridgeport. When it came time to tie the knot, the day was full of smiles and laughter—the couple’s humor and love for each other were irresistible and spread to all in attendance. Chelsea wore a sleeveless Essence of Australia gown with lace detailing. A pop of color came from navy blue ankle boots, later to be traded for Converse sneakers of the same color—much easier to dance in. Pearl accessories and a bright lipstick topped off the look. Aaron coordinated with here in a navy suit with burgundy accents. Complementary shades of burgundy and navy were also worn by the bridal party. During the ceremony, the couple celebrated their union by braiding the ropes of a unity cross that was handmade by the bride’s grandfather. The bride and groom kicked off the reception by having their first dance to the Tyler Childers song “All Your’n.” The maid of honor surprised the bride by rapping her wedding speech to “Satisfied” from the Hamilton musical. The weather was beautiful, and the couple incorporated a 1967 Ford Galaxy that Aaron had restored into their wedding photos. The evening ended with the proper West Virginia send off: everyone circling around and singing “Take Me Home, Country Roads” by John Denver. The couple honeymooned in Mexico before settling into married life in Bridgeport.
