A NOTE FROM SYLVIA
The unwavering support of our members is the bedrock of everything we do at Twin Cities PBS (TPT). With federal funding for public media at risk, your commitment to TPT has never been more vital. Thank you for being a part of our community. As a result of your support we deliver extraordinary content every day, all day — over-the-air, online and on demand — covering many interests and accessible to everyone at no charge. Whether you are a drama lover who waits for each “Masterpiece” premiere, a devoted “PBS News Hour” viewer, or a travel enthusiast who craves programs like “Nature,” “Relish” or Rick Steves trusted guides to Europe, we have something for you. On Sunday, May 4, we will premiere “Miss Austen,” a four-part series under the “Masterpiece” umbrella, while on Wednesday, May 7, we bring you “Nature: Hummingbirds of Hollywood,” a stunning documentary that showcases the work of Terry Masear. In addition, music lovers will delight in “Great Performances: Girl from the North Country,” a reimagining of 20 legendary Bob Dylan songs set in 1934 Duluth that premieres on Friday, May 23. As we approach Memorial Day, we come together to honor and remember the men and women of the U.S. military who have died in service to our country. The annual “Memorial Day Concert” from Washington, D.C. airs on Sunday, May 25, offering a moving tribute to the service and sacrifice of our military members and their families. TPT would not be able to offer these remarkable programs without you. Your contributions are the foundation of everything we do at TPT. You power the content we deliver to your screens, the community programs that cultivate our connections and the educational initiatives that shape future generations. In the face of mounting threats to public media’s sustainability, your support ensures that TPT remains a trusted, independent and local resource. If you are able to increase your contribution to TPT, please visit TPT.org/ActNow. As we defend the future of free, accessible, educational programming, we must stand together now more than ever. Thank you for being an integral part of our community, for ensuring that TPT remains Minnesota’s storyteller and for standing with us in our essential mission.
