About MWR
Morale, Welfare & Recreation (MWR) offers a wide scope of support and leisure services worldwide providing Sailors (active, reserve and retired) and their families with the finest facilities, programs, and activities to meet their recreational and social needs. Navy Region Mid-Atlantic MWR executes special events, such as the annual NAS Oceana Air Show, and provides single Sailor programs, state-of-the-art fitness facilities, community and recreation options, child and youth programs, bowling centers, golf courses, and quick service restaurants, to name a few. Our programs encourage positive individual values, aid in recruitment and retention, and provide for the physical, cultural, and social needs of a mobile Navy.
