As always, we welcome the Winston-Salem Rose Society within the Carolina Classic Fair NGC Flower shows. These beautiful specimens are not judged by National Garden Club Judges but by Rose Judges. Please enjoy them!
Exhibitors may use wedging OF ANY APPROPRIATE MATERIAL in the ROSE Section Roses Only: Multiple entries permitted, including collections **RULE CHANGE: Rose Collections: No more than 2 entries per exhibitor per collection.** All roses in Classes I2-095 through I2-114 and J2-095 through J2-114 will be placed on exhibit tables in alphabetical order. Each variety entered will constitute a class. A rose (or roses) entered in this alphabetical listing will be judged only against other roses entered of that same variety. ENTRY TAGS MUST SHOW CLASS NUMBER AND LEGIBLE VARI- ETY NAME. Blue or other ribbons will be awarded each variety if the rose (or roses) are considered worthy by the judges. No award is required for any rose. Example: Roses whose names begin with the letter "A" will be entered in Class I - (HT&GR) i.e., AmericanHeritage, Apollo, Aquarius, Arizona, etc. and continuing with "B," Bewitched, Big Ben, etc., through the alphabet. EACH variety will be judged on its own merit and will be awarded ribbons accordingly. Even if only one rose of a variety is entered, it will be judged on its own merit. Roses to be Judged by ARS (American Rose Society) ****RULES*** Pre-entry is now required for Rose specimens on the Friday and Wednesday Shows. Please enter all categories you feel youmay have specimens. Once entry tags are received, bring only the tags and speci- mens that you feel are qualified for show(s). General Entry form is located in the back of this catalog.
Large roses are Hybrid Teas, Grandiflora, Floribunda, Shrub, Old Garden and Climbing roses. Small roses are miniflora and miniature roses.
