Poetry must be mailed in with Entry Form. They will be released Monday, October 11, between 10:00 am - 6:00 pm at the Education Building Judging: Monday, September 27 RULES, REGULATIONS AND INFORMATION
1. Entries close and must be postmarked by September 1. Exhibitor must send Poem with entry form to Carolina Classic Fair, PO Box 68, Winston-Salem, NC 27102 or bring to the Fair Administrative Office, 421 West 27th Street, Gate 9. If you have questions, please call Fair office at 336.727.2236. Exhibitor’s last (4) four digits of his/her Social Security Number must be listed on entry form in order to receive any premium monies. 2. Exhibitor must create an original poem that follows any subject and any style . Poemmust be no more than thirty (30) lines. Only one (1) poem per exhibitor. Poem must be clearly printed or typed on one 8 1/2” x 11” sheet of white paper (no notebook paper and no staples). Do not use folders. Do not send pictures. Please print your name and address, age and telephone number on reverse side of Essay - upper right hand corner- not on the front page. 3. The Fair reserves the right to use Poems for publicity and promotional purposes. 4. Winning Poems will be on display and other poems will be displayed in a book for every- one to see in the Education Building during the Fair. Poems must be picked up at the same location on October 11, 2021. Fair is not responsible for Poems not picked up by specified release day. 5. Poems not following the rules will be disqualified. 6. The fair reserves the right to not display any essay deemed inappropriate.
