DE Er ließ Stühle schweben und verwandelte Räume in farbige Landschaften: Kaum ein Gestalter hat das Design der zweiten Hälfte des 20. Jahrhunderts so geprägt wie Verner Panton (1926–1998). Zum 100. Geburtstag des dänischen Designers und Architekten widmet das Vitra Design Museum ihm eine umfassende Ausstellung im Vitra Schaudepot. »Verner Panton. Form, Farbe, Raum« beleuchtet Pantons Werk aus verschiedenen Epochen: von ikonischen Entwürfen wie dem Panton Chair, dem Cone Chair oder der Flowerpot-Leuchte über visionäre Wohnlandschaften bis hin zu selten gezeigten Möbeln und Architekturprojekten. Eine begehbare Rekonstruktion (Edition 1/8) der legendären Fantasy Landscape von 1970 macht Pantons Raumverständnis unmittelbar erfahrbar und lädt dazu ein, in seine skulpturalen, farbintensiven Welten einzutauchen. To mark the 100th anniversary of the Danish designer and architect’s birth, the Vitra Design Museum is presenting a comprehensive exhibition of his work at the Vitra Schaudepot. »Verner Panton: Form, Colour, Space« illuminates Panton’s work across design periods, from iconic designs such as the Panton Chair, the Cone Chair, and the Flowerpot lamp to visionary living landscapes as well as rarely shown furniture and architectural projects. A walk-in reconstruction (edition 1/8) of the legendary Fantasy Landscape from 1970 invites visitors to immerse themselves in Panton’s sculptural, colour-saturated worlds. Pour le 100e anniversaire du designer et architecte danois, le Vitra Design Museum lui consacre une vaste exposition au Vitra Schaudepot. « Verner Panton : Form, Colour, Space » embrasse l’oeuvre de Panton à travers différentes périodes, des créations iconiques telles que la Panton Chair, la Cone Chair ou la lampe Flowerpot, aux paysages d’habitat visionnaires, jusqu’à des meubles et projets architecturaux rarement exposés. Une reconstruction habitable (édition 1/8) de la légendaire Fantasy Landscape de 1970 permet de faire l’expérience directe de la conception spatiale de Panton et invite à plonger dans ses univers sculpturaux aux couleurs intenses.
