The Patriots Run Hi there, we are the Patriots Run. A race established following the attacks of 9/11 as a way to honor the lives lost in Kansas City. The 2025 race is our 23 year, we have grown and changed leadership over the years but our mission remains the same. The race is held at Aspiria in Overland Park, Kansas. Featuring 6 different race options, the Patriots Run welcomes everyone and every ability. Participants age ranges from 0-90 and strollers, walkers, runners and wheelchairs. Here’s our favorite part, the ultra division. Participants will complete as many 1.5 mile loops as possible in 9 hours and 11 minutes.
Ultra Individual Light Relay Team, complete as many loops as a team of 5 Heavy Relay Team, complete as many loops as a team of 5 carrying a 35lb ruck
The Patriots Run 2025 Charity Folds of Honor is a nonprofit that provides educational scholarships to the families of fallen or disabled first responders and military members. Each scholarship awarded is $5,000 and can be used at K-12, higher education, vocational programs and certifications. No matter the educational need, Folds of Honor is there to let families know their sacrifice is not forgotten.

Hero Family Zone In 2024 we introduced the Hero Family Zone, an enhanced family zone dedicated to local hero families. While all families were invited to play in the area, we fostered a dedicated area for families to meet and share stories of hope and courage. Local Folds of Honor, S.A.F.E. (Surviving Spouses and Family Endowment Fund with the KC Crime Commission), The Battle Within and local fire, PD, EMS families who all share common ground were there. Only 1% serves and protects the safety and freedom of 99% of Americans; join us in celebrating them. The Hero Family Zone offers:
Inflatables, Carnival Style Games Face Painters and Balloon Artist's
Grow Psychological LLC. is also onsite with the awareness of the community we are hosting to be available to talk, work through feelings of PTSD, animal and art therapy as well as calming techniques with trauma informed yoga, acupuncture and aromatherapy.

In-Kind Donors Needed The Patriots Run 2025 is looking for new options to provide our racers and their families. We not only need food and beverage items, but other runner wellness items are always welcome as well. We would not be able to produce the Patriots Run without partners like you. Having our items donated, we are able to keep a low cost and truly have all proceeds donated to our charity. By donating products, you are sending a child to school through our 2025 partnership with Folds of Honor. If you have a local distributed and interested in having a booth space, we ask you purchase the stars or stripes sponsorship package.

Donate. Volunteer. Wellness Initiatives. DONATE TO A TEAM - $13 - $500 In lieu of entry fee, relay teams are required to fundraise a minimum of $500 for the race charity of the year. Fully earning their spot in the race by going out into the community and raising awareness. Donate to a team by visiting patriotsrun.org and selecting fundraise/donate. FUNDRAISE AS AN INDIVIDUAL - $13 - $500 For the first year, we are inviting individuals who may or may not be able to participate in person to become a fundraiser. Make a difference with more than your entry fee and raise awareness for the Patriots Run charity. Start your fundraiser at any time by visiting patriotsrun.org and selecting fundraise/donate. VOLUNTEER WITH US The Patriots Run could not operate without volunteers. The entire race committee is formed of volunteers. Volunteers are needed on two days, Friday 9/12/2025 and Saturday 9/13/2025. Multiple positions and times are available as setup/cleanup, parking, hydration stations, general area support and Hero Zone support. These hours are eligible for service hours for all area schools, contact us to be sure these are signed off on by a race committee member.. WELLNESS INITIATIVES FOR YOUR COMPANY Every year companies around Kansas City partner with the Patriots Run for their wellness initiatives.
