ILLINOIS BLACKHAWK VALLEY RESORT, ROCKFORD Blackhawk Valley is named after a feared and respected Native American warrior, Black Sparrow Hawk. When pulling your rig into the beautifully appointed sites at Blackhawk Valley Resort in Rockford, Illinois, you’ll feel the sense of pride in the history of this land. RVers often comment on the well-kept grounds, clean facilities, ample shade provided by mature oak trees and the large, level campsites. There’s no reason to leave the resort because there are many amenities and activities to keep even the most energetic RVer busy. In addition to opportunities to fish, play basketball, mini golf, horseshoes, shuffleboard, and volleyball, you can get involved in group activities, crafts, and bingo. Klehm Arboretum is one of Rockford’s top destinations with 155 acres of woodlands and botanical gardens, which features 1.4 miles of paved paths and 3 miles of wooded trails.
