and the speed of recovery has been very uneven, especially as state policies on ‘re-opening’ were starkly different. That has made it difficult to identify markets that are likely to grow faster than others once the pandemic is under control. But now that most states have eased restrictions, we have a better view of where investors can expect good demand for housing over the next few years. We list 10 markets with strong job per- formance, most still in the red but very likely to be in positive territory soon. It’s all relative, but these markets didn’t suffer as much during the pandemic as others did, so it’s not surprising that they’re accelerat- ing out of the recession at a faster pace.
