Employee Intervention EMJ Corporation believes that accident prevention is a constant shared responsibility. We encourage employees to take ownership in their safety and in the safety of others. Employees are encouraged to be actively involved in the development and implementation of policies and procedures to minimize unsafe acts and conditions through participation on safety and health committees and through interaction with management and fellow co-workers. In addition, all employees have the right to intervene and stop work when they see something unsafe. Planning EMJ Corporation is committed to providing each project with a pre-operational Job Hazard Analysis (JHA). The JHA will identify specific hazards prior to beginning each operation. The analysis helps determine what safety measures
commitment toward a zero injury culture. In addition, the process helps identify a contractor’s shortfalls and encourages them to improve their overall program through additional policy development, coaching and training. This continuous improvement program ultimately results in better safety programs and fewer on the job hazards. Safety Staff In 2009 EMJ formed a subsidiary company, CORE Safety Group. CORE’s management members have degrees in Occupational Safety Management and hold credentials such as the Board of Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST), Occupational Health and Safety Technologist (OHST) and Certified Healthcare Safety Professional (CHSP). The safety professionals at CORE Safety Group have hands-on experience in all aspects of safety management including program development, loss control, claims management, safety training and OSHA compliance.
