7. Mock-ups: EMJ relies on mock-ups to gain a full understanding of the client’s expectations and to communicate those expectations to the entire project team. Mock-ups are also used to establish the expectations for completed work with the subcontractors. Mock-ups are completed in the exact manner and sequence required by the contract documents, and with the exact quality workmanship specified in the contract documents. 8. Indoor Air Quality and Mold Prevention: We have established a reputation for effectively managing indoor air quality and mold growth issues. Our schedule is based on the installation of standard drywall products after the exterior wall and roof are in place. We have also included the appropriate temporary measures to limit or prevent problems with mold growth. An example of such a measure is the placement of sheetrock on removable plastic shims so that the bottom of the sheetrock does not touch the floor. Water is wicked away during construction and after the building is occupied.

9. First Installation Review: When a material is put in place on the project for the first time, the Project Team will review its initial installation to make sure that the materials meet specifications. Unacceptable work is immediately removed and replaced. The level of craftsmanship is clarified so that all crafts people, foremen, and Superintendents are in agreement. As the work progresses, our Superintendent will inspect and give feedback daily so that all of the crafts people know where they stand with regard to compliance with the PrimeQC System. 10. Completion and Punch List: An EMJ Superintendent and Project Manager will prepare a completion list of the respective scope of work that will be completed prior to inviting ARCHITECT and OWNER to review the work and comment in the form of a punch list. The Superintendent and Project Manager will execute the punch list and then request a final walk-through to confirm work completion.
