SFAC VOLUNTEERS FOR THANKSGIVING FOOD GIVEAWAY On November 8, 2024, less than one week after its chartering, South Fulton (GA) Alumni Chapter (SFAC) got off to a great start serving the community, by volunteering with the City of South Fulton's Thanksgiving Food Giveaway initiative. Mayor Pro Tem and Councilman Jaceey Sebastian (District 4) invited the community to a Thanksgiving food giveaway on Friday, November 8 starting at 4 pm. Several Brothers arrived early for set up, while others came out throughout the afternoon to assist in assembling bags of canned and boxed goods, as well as vegetables. As hundreds of cars pulled up to each station, the brothers placed the side items as well as turkeys into their cars and wished each family a Happy Thanksgiving. Food items for over one thousand families were distributed. In a correspondence email, Sebastian expressed his gratitude,
writing, “Thank you! Very grateful that you and your brothers participated!”
It was the first of several community service initiatives that the chapter had planned to participate in during the holiday season.
