SFAC PROVIDES TOY AND CLOTHES FOR ADOPT- A-FAMILIES South Fulton (GA) Alumni Chapter (SFAC) members, on Thursday afternoon, December 19, 2024, met at A. Philip Randolph Elementary in South Fulton to deliver toys they purchased for two adopt-a-family students. The effort was in partnership with the South Fulton Alpha Kappa Alpha chapter and for SFAC, was led by Civic Action Chairman, Corey Robinson, who purchased toys and clothes for four students ranging from ages 5-9, including sneakers and five toys for each student.
SFAC AWARDED PROCLAMATION FROM THE CITY Members of the City of South Fulton attended the December general body meeting of the South Fulton (GA) Alumni Chapter (SFAC) on Thursday, December 12, 2024, to award a proclamation, honoring the chapter's chartering on November 3, 2024. Councilwoman, Dr. Catherine F. Rowell, of District 1 and Carmalitha Gumbs, of District 2, presented SFAC Polemarch Delmar Whittington, on behalf of the chapter with the proclamation, "marking a significant milestone in the fraternity's legacy of excellence and expansion” with its historic chartering. The proclamation also states that "'December 12, 2024, shall be recognized as a day of celebration and honor for The Renaissance NUPES, as they embark on this remarkable journey of service and excellence." SFAC “ELVES” VOLUNTEER AT TOY DRIVE South Fulton (GA) Alumni Chapter (SFAC) members participated in the Kappa Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha's toy drive on Sunday, December 15, 2024. The Brothers volunteered, serving as "Elves" and personally accompanied each family as they made their way touring the facility to choose the toys and clothes for their loved ones. The SFAC elves then gathered all of the chosen items and put them in "sacks" for the families.
"The presence that we're creating in South Fulton is good... and there are more of these events to come," said Robinson.
The SFAC brothers also assisted with carrying canned goods and gifts for the AKAs into the school. Principal Marissa Wilson was grateful for the donations and for the brothers bringing them to the school.
Afterwards, the brothers took some time to fellowship over lunch at the nearby Sandtown Pub.
SFAC’S FIRST MACK FOUNDERS DAY BANQUET Snow, freezing temperatures and icy roads couldn’t keep members of the South Fulton (GA) Alumni Chapter (SFAC) from convening on Saturday, January 11th at the Georgia International Convention Center in College Park, to celebrate the Metro-Atlanta Coalition of Kappas Founders Day Banquet. Hosted by Decatur Alumni Chapter, 30 SFAC brothers braved the inclement weather and road conditions to fellowship and rededicate themselves, joining 454 other brothers and dignitaries from the Southeastern Province and throughout Atlanta. The keynote address was delivered by Brother Damon O. Barry, Esq., Alumni Grand Board Member. Following the “Night Kap” after-party, SFAC hosts welcomed brothers from various with food and beverages. What began as uncertainty turned out to be a great day for all.
