Lebbeus Woods’ On The Malecón, January 1, 2010

Once, in the early 2000s, the web was so rich and open that every visit was inspirational. Everyone had blogs, not least Lebbeus Woods, where he posted projects. That one could just look at. And think about. This one: a storm-surge mitigation device for Havana’s el Malecón. An articulated plate lies on the Malecón until a storm and with the force of the storm, it tilts to become a tall sea wall.
