SRC APPRENTICE SECURES BRONZE AWARD AT SKILLELECTRIC
Manon Monot has been appointed by Schneider Electric as Country CFO for Ireland, responsible for driving the company’s financial performance and strategic direction and working with management and operations to maintain growth and innovation. An experienced senior executive with more than a decade’s experience in corporate finance, Manon previously held the position of corporate strategic intelligence director at Schneider Electric, where she was responsible for benchmarking the company’s performance against key competitors. She will combine financial acumen with her strategic knowledge of the industry to help Schneider Electric Ireland successfully navigate market opportunities, manage compliance and achieve growth targets as it maintains its upward trajectory. Jonathan Gough of MD Electrics and Southern Regional College in Northern Ireland has been awarded a bronze medal at SkillELECTRIC 2024. An intensive competition held over three days at Oldham College in November saw gold go to Charlie Moore from the College of West Anglia and silver to Richard Westwood from Dudley College. MALLUSK SOLAR FIRM RECEIVES £1.5M INVESTMENT FROM FUND MANAGER
Solarfix, a Mallusk-based solar panel designer and installer, is hoping to expand into new markets after securing £1.5m in equity funding from Whiterock. Managing Director Michael O’Donnell secured the investment after completed a management buyout of the firm, which has installed more than 2,000 commercial and residential solar systems in Northern Ireland.
