My son Toby and I have (a) arrived in Tokyo. It’s nearly midnight and the city is still lively! I (b) been back here since I was a child and it’s incredible to see how the city has changed. It’s just as Toby (c) always imagined it – a futuristic sci-fi place! It’s a city of amazing skyscrapers and neon-lit underground streets. (d) 2010, it has (e) at the top of the list of the world megacities. Once a small fishing village called Edo, metropolitan Tokyo is home to about 37 million people. We’ve only been here (f ) five hours, but we have (g) sensed that Tokyo is a truly global, cosmopolitan city.
