Name the city and why you have chosen this place.

Thanks for your email. It was great to hear back from you. You’ve asked me to tell you about my favourite city in the world. Well, that’s easy – Vancouver in Canada! I’ve only been there once – I went to visit my aunt and uncle, who live there. But it’s a fantastic place and I really want to go back. Let me tell you about Vancouver. It’s on the coast of western Canada. It’s a very modern city and people from all over the world live there. It has everything I love – the Pacific Ocean, absolutely stunning mountains and enormous, clear blue skies. It’s extremely close to the mountains so you can get out of the city in minutes. There’s also a really huge park in the middle of the city called Stanley Park. The awesome Vancouver Aquarium is in the park – so that’s perfect for a wet afternoon! There are also some absolutely amazing seafood restaurants and really lively waterfront cafés. What’s more , I’ve found out that for the best view of the city you should ride a cable car up Grouse Mountain. You can see all the islands and mountains around Vancouver. Vancouver has also been transforming itself into one of the world’s best eco-cities. There are lots of cycle lanes so it’s easy to get around by bike. What’s your favourite city? I can’t wait to hear from you. Write again soon. All the best, Jerry

Describe the place in general. Describe outdoor and indoor activities you can do in

the city. Explain something

interesting or unusual about the city you’ve chosen. End your email with friendly comments.
