Zambaiti Parati introduces its new brand, Zam- baiti Contract. A new chapter in the history of a far-sighted company embodying its transformation towards the future, the new Contract division is an inven- tive project that speaks the language of design, innovation and creativity, developed in coope- ration with internationally renowned architectu- ral firms and Designers. We have devised a unique design and manu- facturing path, with the aim to develop the crea- tive theme suggested on different substrates for application on different surfaces, so as to get a tailored and made-to –measure product. This has been made possible by sharing our know-how with protagonists who have been able to interpret and give shape to their ideas, selecting the best decorations and materials, to give each surface a new dimension. Eterea marks the debut of the Zambaiti Con- tract brand.

Zambaiti Parati introduce il nuovo Brand, Zam- baiti Contract. Un nuovo capitolo che rappresenta la trasfor- mazione verso il futuro nella già lungimirante storia dell’ Azienda, che presenta la nuova di- visione Contract, un’eccellenza progettuale che parla di design, innovazione e creatività in colla- borazione con Studi di Architettura e Designer di fama internazionale. Abbiamo dato vita ad un percorso progettuale e produttivo unico, che si differenzia da qualsi- asi collezione attualmente sul mercato, con l’o- biettivo di proporre ogni tema creativo, creato su misura e modulato per ogni supporto deco- rativo su superfici multiple. Questo è stato possibile condividendo il nostro know-how con protagonisti che hanno saputo interpretare e dare forma alle proprie idee, sele- zionando al meglio decori e materie, conferen- do una nuova dimensione ad ogni superficie. Zambaiti Contract celebrates the first col- lection developed by its new division, born from the cooperation with some of the most significant signatures of Italian ar- chitecture, an example of how creative avant-garde and inventive ability can be com- bined with seasoned craftsmanship and advan- ced industrial technology, for a virtuous union always addressed to guarantee the excellence of the product. The architecture studios Metrogramma Mila- no, Caberlon Caroppi Italian Touch Architects, AF517 Alfonso Femia Atelier (s) and Cibic Wor- kshop are the protagonists of “Eterea”: the first collection of the Zambaiti Contract division. The four firms, under the artistic direction of architect Andrea Boschetti teaming up with Lucia Rota and Ana Lazovic in synergy with Zambaiti creativeLab, explore and analyze the codes and dynamics of Matter on different sca- les. An aesthetic journey that draws its origins from meticulous research, aimed at emphasi- zing natural textures and revealing a universe of shapes, colors and dynamisms to turn them into ornamental graphics with a strong visual and decorative impact.

Zambaiti Contract celebra il primo capitolo del- la nuova divisione, avvalendosi di alcune tra le firme più significative dell’architettura italiana, diventando esempio di come avanguardia cre- ativa e capacità inventiva possano combinarsi con il sapore della sapienza artigianale e della tecnologia industriale più avanzata, per un con- nubio virtuoso rivolto sempre a garantire l’ec- cellenza del prodotto. Gli studi di architettura Metrogramma Mila- no, Caberlon Caroppi Italian Touch Architects, AF517Alfonso Femia Atelier(s) e Cibic Work- shop sono i protagonisti di “Eterea”: la prima collezione della divisione Zambaiti Contract. I quattro Studi di architettura, coordinati dalla direzione artistica dell’architetto Andrea Bo- schetti con team di Lucia Rota e Ana Lazovic in sinergia con Zambaiti creativeLAB, esplorano ed analizzano a scale diverse i codici e le dina- miche della Materia. Un viaggio estetico, tratto da una minuziosa ricerca rivolta ad enfatizzare trame naturali e a rivelarne un universo di forme, colori e dinamismi per trasformarle in grafismi ornamentali dal forte impatto visivo e decora- tivo.

Eterea Collection is a new opportunity in the contract world, conceived to be unique both from a stylistic point of view and for the assort- ment of print substrates used. Each graphic project is proposed by the architectural firms in two graphic forms with interconnected symboli- sms for two different printing substrates propo- sals: 3D Digital print murals and embossed wal- lpapers. This important choice has allowed us to create diversified products on exclusive and ori- ginal supports. The innovative 3D digital print emphasizes textures and designs and offers the possibility of printing each graphic project on as many as four different fireproof substrates, with different aesthetic and tactile characteristics: Bio Ecopaper, a 100% eco-sustainable product to guarantee a healthier choice for our walls; Mineral, obtained by recycling mica powders with touch and visual stone effect; Tela Lurex, a substrate evoking luxury tapestries; Velluto Tech, a real velvet manufactured to avoid the counter-pile effect. Traditional printing, obtai- ned from embossing cylinders, developed by the company engraving department, is instead carried out on PVC in- relief substrates with fla- me retardant and antibacterial characteristics.

E’ stata pensata per essere una collezione unica sia dal punto di vista stilisti- co che per l’assortimento di supporti di stampa impiegati. Ogni progetto grafico è disegna- to dagli Studi di architettura in due declina- zioni stilistiche con simboli interconnessi tra loro per due differenti tipologie di prodot- to: pannelli a stampa digitale 3D e carta da parati goffrata. Questa importante scelta ha consentito di creare una produzione di- versificata su supporti esclusivi ed originali. L’innovativa stampa digitale 3D enfatizza tra- me e disegni ed offre la possibilità di stampare ogni progetto grafico in ben quattro differenti supporti ignifughi, con caratteristiche estetiche e tattili differenti: Bio Ecopaper, un prodotto al 100% ecosostenibile per garantire una scelta più salubre per le nostre pareti; Mineral, ottenu- to dal riciclo di polveri di mica con effetto pietra sia tattile che visivo; Tela Lurex, un supporto tes- sile evocativo di prestigiose tappezzerie; Velluto Tech, un supporto elegante e performante, stu- diato per evitare l’effetto contropelo. La stam- pa tradizionale, ottenuta da cilindri goffratori, sviluppata dal reparto di incisoria aziendale, si realizza invece su supporti in Pvc a rilievo con caratteristiche ignifughe e antibatteriche.

Metrogramma is a well-known international ar- chitectural firm whose activities range from ur- ban planning to design in broader sense. The Studio was born within the IUAV of Venice in 1996 in the form of a work and research group. Today Metrogramma, in addition to Andrea Bo- schetti, who continues to be the reference ar- chitect of the firm as CEO and artistic director, is composed by enthusiastic partners who lead flexible teams of young and talented architects. They have widened their experience in interior design thanks to the recent professional part- nership with the London contract division of LLEngineering, a leading company in luxury li- ving projects. Over the years they have teamed up with some of the most famous brands such as Fendi Home, Bentley Home, Bugatti Home and many others in several different ventures. In September 2019 Metrogramma, together with Stefano Boeri Architetti and the Rotter- dam-based Studio Inside Outside, won the in- ternational competition “Quadrante Val Polce- vera - the red circle and the Bridge Park” for the reconstruction of the area of the city of Genoa devastated by the collapse of the Morandi Brid- ge on 14 August 2018.

Metrogramma è un noto studio internazionale che spazia dall’urbanistica al design. Lo studio in forma di gruppo di lavoro e ricerca nasce in seno all’IUAV di Venezia nel 1996. Attualmente Metrogramma, oltre ad Andrea Boschetti, che continua ad essere l’architetto di riferimento dello studio nel ruolo di CEO e direttore artisti- co, è composto da giovani partner che guidano team flessibili di giovani e motivati architetti. Nell’ambito dell’interior design, si segnalano, grazie al recente sodalizio professionale con la divisione contract londinese LLEngineering, le- ader mondiale nel mondo del lusso, la redazio- ne di molti progetti in collaborazione con alcuni tra i piu blasonati “brand” come Fendi Home, Bentley Home, Bugatti Home e molti altri an- cora. Nel settembre 2019 Metrogramma si aggiudi- ca insieme a Stefano Boeri Architetti ed Inside Outside di Rotterdam il concorso internazionale per la ricostruzione del “Quadrante Val Polce- vera - il cerchio rosso ed il Parco del Ponte” a Genova, territorio devastato dal crollo del Pon- te Morandi del 14 agosto 2018.

Lo studio indaga le molteplici sfaccettature tra uomo e materia, interpretando all’interno della collezione il tema della terra e del tatuaggio. L’etimologia del termine «materia» (che può es- sere ricondotto al termine latino «mater») lascia intuire come la materia possa essere conside- rata il fondamento costituente di tutti i corpi e tutte le cose. I progetti grafici analizzano a scale diverse i co- dici e le dinamiche che caratterizzano questo termine fisico e si traducono in un’ esplorazione mirata a rivelare l’universo di forme, colori e di- namismi spesso impercepibili all’occhio umano. The Studio investigates the multiple facets of the connection between man and matter, fo- cusing the collection on the interpretation of the themes of landscape patterns and tatto- os. The word “matter” comes from the Latin term “mater” (mother) suggesting how matter can be considered the principal constituent of all bodies and all things. The graphic designs analyze in different scales the codes and dyna- mics that characterize this term and result in an exploration aimed at revealing the universe of shapes,colors and dynamisms often impercepti- ble to the human eye.

The firm was born in Milan in 2004 and in 2008 it founded the headquarters in Fermo, with the aim of expanding over the country to get in tou- ch with the various souls of Italian design and Made in Italy. The Studio nourishes its eclectic and versatile identity by always facing new chal- lenges and places at the center of its objectives the creation of innovative tailor-made concep- ts dedicated to all hospitality categories: from large business hotels to historic venues, from luxury resorts to cozy boutique hotels. The deep knowledge of the context where each project is immersed mesmerizes and contami- nates the architectural work with local traditions, to fulfil at best the needs of the client. All this to create actual experiences and not mere places of passage. Lo studio nasce a Milano nel 2004 e nel 2008 fonda la sede di Fermo, si spalma sul territorio per far proprie le diverse anime del design ita- liano e del Made in Italy. Nutre la propria iden- tità eclettica e versatile affrontando sempre nuove sfide e pone al centro dei propri obiettivi la creazione di innovativi concept tailor made dedicati a tutte le categorie di hospitality: dal business hotel all’albergo storico, dai resort di lusso agli intimi boutique hotel. La progettazione architettonica si lascia affasci- nare e contaminare dall’analisi attenta del luogo in cui i progetti sono immersi, dalle tradizioni lo- cali, dalle esigenze della committenza. La parte per il tutto: una parete vegetale dove l’eterogeneità di trame declinate in tutte le sue essenze, dettagli e sfumature si compongono in un quadro armonioso e avvolgente. Fragments of nature are reinvented in new com- binations and set in a geometric weave, ope- ning unprecedented views on the natural world. The part for the whole: a vegetable wall where the diverseness of textures declined in all their essences, details and nuances are composed in a harmonious and cocooning framework.

Alfonso Femia was born in Taurianova, Reggio Calabria, on 7th December 1966. He graduated from the University of Genoa - Faculty of Archi- tecture in 1992. A member of the Order of Ar- chitects of Genoa since 1994, of Île-de-France since 1995 and of Swiss Architects since 2014, Alfonso Femia taught Architectural Design at the Kent State University of Florence, and at the Architecture Schools of Ferrara and Genoa Uni- versities. Founder of the firm 5 + 1 in 1995, he created 5 + 1AA in 2005 and 5 + 1AA Parigi in 2007. He won several worldwide competitions and his works have appeared in many international ma- gazines. In 2015 he was the creator and founder of the 500x100 video platform, centered on the theme of the city. In 2017 he edited the mono- graphic issue of IQD “Invisible Mediterraneans”, researching and reaffirming the centrality of the Mediterranean in contemporary thought. His research on matter led him to collaborate with important design companies including Castaldi Lighting, iGuzzini, PoltronaFrau, Casalgrande, Padana, Martinelli Luce, Xilo1930, Staygreen. A lover of city-territories, he defines Time as the main subject of design and architecture. Man is time.

Alfonso Femia, nato a Taurianova, Reggio Ca- labria il 7 Dicembre del 1966. Laureato presso l’Università di Genova – Facoltà di Architettura nel 1992. Iscritto all’Ordine degli Architetti di Genova dal 1994, di Île-de-France dal 1995 e degli Architetti Svizzeridal 2014. Alfonso Femia ha insegnato Progettazione Architettonica alla Kent State University di Firenze, alla Facoltà di Architettura di Ferrara e di Genova. Fondatore di 5+1 nel 1995 crea 5+1AA nel 2005 e 5+1AA Parigi nel 2007. Vince numerosi concorsi inter- nazionali ed è pubblicato in riviste internazionali. Nel 2015 è ideatore e fondatore di 500x100 piattaforma video di comunicazione sul tema della città. Nel 2017 cura il numero monografico di IQD “Mediterranei Invisibili” avviando il per- corso di ricerca e di riaffermazione della centra- lità del Mediterraneo nel pensiero contempora- neo. La sua ricerca sulla materia lo ha portato a collaborare con importanti aziende del design tra cui: tra cui Castaldi Lighting, iGuzzini, Poltro- naFrau, Casalgrande, Padana, Martinelli Luce, Xilo1930, Staygreen. Amante delle città-territorio, definisce nel tem- po la materia principale del progetto e del fare architettura. L’uomo è tempo.

Strati tridimensionali iridescenti che subito ci immergono in trame, geometrie, sequenze e che poco a poco ci permettono di comprende- re che la struttura apparentemente aleatoria è una delle geometrie costruttive più sofisticate dell’aereonautica della natura: sono ali, non ali qualsiasi, ali di una libellula, ali di più libellule. Ci fanno ricordare che occorre avere le ali per volare, ma che si può volare anche con l’imma- ginazione grazie alla percezione delle stesse ali. Trame che diventano filigrana, filigrana che diventa tessuto, tessuto che avvolge gli spazi creando e costruendo mondi diversi. Iridescent three-dimensional layers immerse us in textures, patterns and sequences which gra- dually allow us to understand that an apparent- ly random structure is instead one of the most sophisticated constructive geometries of natu- re’s air force: wings, particular wings, the wings of a dragonfly, the wings of multiple dragonflies. They remind us that you need wings to fly, but you can also fly with your imagination thanks to the perception of the same wings. Textures that become filigree, filigree that becomes fabric, fabric that wraps spaces shaping and building different worlds.

Aldo Cibic starts his business in Milan in the late Seventies. He works now in many parts of the world: his is a composite reality that by choice and vocation deals with projects of different nature ranging from building to interiors, to design and multimedia. The Studio is compo- sed of a group of architects, interior designers, graphic designers, industrial designers and a dense network of external collaborators with different cultural and professional backgrounds. The result is an intense exchange of stimuli and energies, leading to concrete and innovative projects. He also teaches at the Politecnico di Milano and at the University Institute of Archi- tecture in Venice. He is visiting professor at Tongji University in Shanghai. In 2004 he was invited by Kurt W. Foster to present the “Microrealities” project at the IX Venice Biennale entitled Metamorph. In 2010 his project “Rethinking Happiness” is selected by director Kazuyo Sejima for the XII Venice Biennale entitled “People Meet in Archi- tecture”.

Aldo Cibic inizia la sua attività a Milano alla fine degli anni settanta. Opera in molte parti del mondo: la sua è una realtà composita che per scelta e vocazione si occupa di progetti di diver- sa natura spaziando dall’architettura agli interni, al design e al multimedia. Lo studio è compo- sto da un gruppo di architetti, interior designer, grafici, industrial designer e da un fitto network di collaboratori esterni di estrazione culturale e professionale diversa. Il risultato è un ambiente di scambio intenso di stimoli ed energie, che mira alla realizzazione di progetti solidi e inno- vativi. Svolge inoltre attività di insegnamento presso il Politecnico di Milano e presso l’ Istituto Universitario di Architettura di Venezia. E’ Professore di chiara fama alla Tongji University di Shanghai. Nel 2004 viene invitato da Kurt W. Foster a presentare il progetto “Microrealities” alla IX Biennale di Venezia intitolata Metamorph e nel 2010 gura nuovamente tra gli invitati dal direttore Kazuyo Sejima alla XII Biennale di Ve- nezia dal titolo “People Meet in Architecture” con il progetto “Rethinking Happiness”.

La collezione Wallnets si ispira all’idea di creare sulle pareti una sorta di doppia pelle, una tra- sparenza realizzata da pattern, il più delle volte simili a reti regolari, dietro le quali c’è un fondo. L’irregolarità e la non precisione dei disegni ge- ometrici genera una vibrazione e dà profondità: questo effetto viene maggiormente evidenziato quando la rete è di fatto un rilievo. Si tratta di una collezione che ha come comune denominatore un approccio materico al mondo dei rivestimenti. The Wallnets collection was inspired by the idea of creating a sort of double skin on the wall, a transparency made of patterns, most of the time similar to regular nets, behind which there is a background. The irregularity and incongru- ity of the geometric designs generates a vibra- tion and gives depth: this effect is most evident when the network is actually in relief. The underlying feature of the collection is a ma- terial approach to the world of wallcoverings.

Zambaiti Contract offers a collection designed for an assortment of multiple decorative sub- strates. It is the result of an extensive research that allows each graphic theme to evolve in refi- ned aesthetic variations and capture the evolu- tion of the international market. This philosophy determines new settings, tran- sformed in accordance with the degree of de- coration of the surfaces. The inspiration comes from a continuous research process, relying on intermingling environments, styles and thou- ghts. The collection was developed with innovative technical solutions and devoting extreme atten- tion to the theme of eco-sustainability through the choice of recyclable substrates, or obtained from scraps of noble mineral powders or using a combination of yarns to create upholstery ef- fects. Another very important aspect is the intro- duction of 3D printing, to make the proposed graphics even more evocative, with unique tactile and visual effects.

Zambaiti Contract propone una collezione stu- diata per un assortimento di supporti decora- tivi multipli, frutto di una grande ricerca, che permettono di evolvere ogni tema grafico con declinazioni estetiche raffinate, utili a soddisfare l’evoluzione del mercato internazionale. Questa filosofia determina ambienti nuovi, che si trasformano a seconda del grado di decora- zione delle superfici. L’ispirazione deriva da un processo di ricerca continuo, di contaminazione tra ambienti, stili e pensieri. La collezione è stata sviluppata con aspetti tec- nici ricchi di novità, sensibili al tema dell’ecoso- stenibilità come la scelta di supporti riciclabili, oppure ottenuti da scarti di nobili polveri mine- rali o ancora sfruttando la combinazione di filati per realizzare effetti tessili. Un altro aspetto importantissimo è l’introdu- zione della stampa 3D, per rendere ancor più evocativa la grafica proposta, con effetti tattili e visivi unici.

Bio Ecopaper è realizzata con uno speciale composto polimero ecologico che non contiene componenti dannosi di alcun tipo. Il supporto su cui avviene l’ecospalmatura è realizzato riciclando polveri di cellulosa, provenienti da scarti di legno e carta rigenera- ta. Questo processo di lavorazione consente di ottenere un prodotto più salutare per l’ambiente e per le nostre pareti.

The Bio Ecopaper is made with a special ecological polymer compound that does not contain harmful components of any kind. The support on which the eco-coating is applied is made by recycling cellulose powders, coming from wood waste and regenera- ted paper. This manufacturing process allows to obtain a healthier product for the environment and for our walls.

The application of digital print murals on the wall is easy. It follows two simple steps: (1) Apply the glue evenly on the surfaces; (2) Hang the sheets, using a trim guide to make them adhere smoothly to the wall. For best results, make sure the surfaces on which the support will be applied are even and free of imperfections.

La posa a muro dei pannelli digitali è di facile applicazione. Avviene in due semplici passaggi: (1) stesura omogenea della colla sulla superficie; (2) posa del supporto con l’utilizzo di un rullo che accompagni perfetta- mente la stesura. Le superfici sulle quali verrà applicato il supporto dovranno essere prive di imperfezioni per ottenere un effetto omogeneo privo di ondulazioni.

Si tratta di un supporto esclusivo e paragonabile a tessuti come il Lamé e il Broccato. La lucentezza esalta le grafiche in particolare se stampate in tridimensionale, mentre dal punto di vista tattile la resa è al pari di una vera e propria tappezzeria di prestigio, infatti la produzione avviene mediante l’utilizzo di filati metallici come l’alluminio unito al nylon e al cotone.

It is an exclusive substrate, comparable to fabrics such as Lamé and Brocade. Its shine enhances the graphics, in particular if prin- ted in three-dimensions, while from a tactile point of view the effect is that of a real precious upholstery. It is actually manufactured combining metal yarns such as aluminum with nylon and cotton.

E’ completamente green, non richiede acqua né alberi da taglio ma bensì sfrutta l’utilizzo di polveri di recupero da cave di pietra, applicate su un supporto preventivamente goffrato con disegno “venato”. Lo sviluppo di questo prodotto nel settore wallcovering nasce dall’idea di sfruttare le sue performance in ambienti in cui sono richieste resistenze all’umidità e ottime solidità alla luce.

This is a real green substrate that does not require the use of water or to cut trees. It is manufactured recovering powders from stone quarries, and applying them on a previously embossed backing with a “veined” design. The development of this product in the wallcovering sector was born from the idea of exploiting its performance in environments where resistance to humidity and excellent light fastness are required.
