Graphic Packaging Announces Receipt Of Acquisition Approvals Atlanta, Georgia based Graphic Packaging Holding Com- pany last week announced that all required regulatory ap- provals to complete the proposed acquisition of AR Pack- aging Group AB have now been received. The transaction is expected to be completed in early November 2021, sub- ject to the satisfaction of the remaining customary closing conditions set forth in the acquisition agreement. Graphic Packaging announced its intent to acquire AR Packaging Group AB on May 14, 2021. IP Announces $2 Billion Share Repurchase Program Memphis, Tennessee based International Paper (IP) last week announced its board of directors has authorized a share repurchase program to acquire up to $2 billion of the company’s common stock. The new authorization is in addition to $1.3 billion remaining as of the end of the third quarter from a previous repurchase authorization. During the third quarter the company repurchased approximately $212 million in common stock at an average price of $59.13 per share. The company intends to continue repurchasing such shares in open market transactions.
