Teaching and Learning This course will include quizzes, assessment booklets, written assignments, video presentations and observations. Case studies will be used as examples to support learning. You will be taught by specialist teachers for each of the three aspects (Psychology, Criminology and Law). Assessment This course is mostly assessed through internally set and marked assignments. Progression Upon successful completion of the Psychology, Criminology and Law courses and achievement of grade 4 or above in English and Maths you would move on to Level 3 Applied Psychology, Criminology, Law. Entry requirements A minimum of 4 grade 3 GCSEs including Maths and English.
Overview This program of study is made up of three courses designed to provide introductory knowledge in Law, Psychology and Criminology. Structure The three courses have the following units which will be completed in one academic year. – The English Legal System/Assignment support – Criminal Law and Procedure – Aspects of Family and Welfare Law – Aspects of Crime/Assignment support – Criminal Justice System, Crime and Social Groups – Definition and Illustration of Psychological Concepts – Application of Psychological Concepts You will be required to complete study outside of class time to complete your assignments. This is to develop your independent learning skills and prepare you for Level 3 study.
