STUDENTS EXPLORE THE BIG APPLE Business, Economics and Art students got a taste of life in the Big Apple as the popular HSDC New York trip returned for the first time in three years. Two groups of HSDC Havant A Level

These trips were run by Jamie Harrison, Programme Leader for Arts and Humanities, who said: “The New York visit gives students the opportunity to travel to one of the most famous cities in the world, spending five days not only seeing the sights but also linking this to their individual A Level subjects, with tailored visits linked to their studies. “This is the seventh year running this trip for myself, and 15th year for the College, and it has never been as popular, to the point where we had to run two visits! The students loved the planned visits, as well as the vast amount of free time they were given to explore the different parts of the city.”

students explored the city that never sleeps, visiting famous landmarks, art museums and more. Both trips featured visits to well-known locations including the Empire State Building, Rockefeller Center, 9/11 Memorial and the Brooklyn Bridge. The second delegation, which was mainly made up of students from Fine Art, Graphics and Photography, also spent time visiting the Guggenheim Museum and the Museum of Modern Art.
