BUSINESS Level 1 Diploma (Laser)
Venue: South Downs Campus Duration: 1 year
We teach in a small class of approximately 10-15 students and work in a caring and collaborative way with a nominated tutor. We use our Google Education suite, working through units of study until they are complete, through the use of PowerPoint presentations and worksheets with some independent research and study. Students will be required to undertake one week of work experience as a part of their programme. Assessment You will be assessed through the completion of projects and assignments. Progression Students are able to progress into full time work or onto a relevant Level 2 course. Entry Requirements A minimum of four GCSEs grade 2 and above including either Mathematics or English.
Overview This course will explore elements of Business and will help you develop key skills to enable you to seek work or further study. You will learn in a coaching-style environment where you are encouraged to learn through individual effort and teamwork. This course will also help to grow your self-confidence. You and your fellow students will come from a wide variety of backgrounds. This Level 1 is an ideal platform to help you in your next steps. Not only will you attain the qualification, but you will also strengthen your English and Mathematics skills. Employability skills you will develop include: – Communication and presentation – Planning and organising work, money, activities and events
– Team working – Basic IT skills
