KEN ELLIOTT, CDOA 1988 PRESIDENT OF NADOA By Betty Davidson, CDOA
Lloyd Kenyon Elliott (Ken) passed away on May 15, 2021, in
(formerly Sun E & P). Ken was known for his humor and quick wit. He mentored many young Land and Division Order Analysts over the span of his career. He will always be remembered for his many contributions to the NADOA organization and contributed much to forming the NADOA Certification Program. He will be missed by all that had the pleasure of knowing and working with him.
Spring, Texas at the age of 96. He was a Charter NADOA member and 1988 NADOA President. Ken is responsible for the design of the CDOA certification certificate and Ken’s certification certificate proudly displays the number 001.
He was drafted at the age of 18 into the U.S. Army where he was a member of General Patton’s Third Army serving in Belgium, France and Germany. After his service to our country, Ken attended the University of Texas and graduated in 1952. The same year, he started his oil and gas career as a Landman for Standard Oil of Indiana. He retired in 1992 from Oryx Energy
