a responsibility to never stop learning and improving our craft as Division Order Analysts. The classes were great refreshers but also included new information and ways to be more efficient in our daily routines. The general sessions and breakout classes were very informative. Networking with other professionals from all over is always valuable, learning how others deal with different areas of our job. The resort was beautiful, the staff was friendly, and the rooms and other areas made for a very comfortable stay. I encourage other analysts to attend the PBDOA monthly trainings and NADOA every chance they get! Thank you for a great learning experience! Dawn Podrazik Thanks to PBADOA for an amazing opportunity to attend NADOA 2021 Institute in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida! NADOA Institutes never disappoint, and this was another great one! There was a good variety of classes. I think the ones I learned from most were on the ambiguity of wellbore assignments and deduction of post-production expenses. However, the class on the lease checks and steps leading up to a title opinion offered insight as well. I enjoyed all the classes! But let’s talk about location….a resort right on the beach overlooking the Atlantic? Yes, please! It was a beautiful locale with all the beach fun you could ask for. Ft. Lauderdale was a great destination offering lots of activities! And no Institute is complete without the Thursday night event! First, we enjoyed a delicious surf and turf dinner. Then the party started! Though I opted out of pulling out an 80’s costume or hitting the dance floor this trip, the music was fabulous and a blast from the glorious 80’s past! Several dressed in 80’s neon, leg-warmers, and big hair vied for the best in the costume contest, and the decor was spot-on. It was great fun! It was great to reconnect with old friends and make new acquaintances as well. Thanks again to PBADOA for the scholarship. I hope everyone will support our local and national organizations and get involved. These organizations do such a great job in helping keep us educated and supported in our careers! We look forward to our upcoming joint luncheons with PALTA for the remainder of 2021. NADOA Scholarship Winner, Carmen Keathley, and her Highlights from the NADOA Institue

NADOA INSTITUTE in Fort Lauderdale, Florida September 8-10, 2021

I was so sure that someone from Cimarex Energy Co was going to win the Scholarship to the NADOA Institute, I just didn’t think it would be me. I am very thankful that I did win as that allowed four Cimarex employees to attend the Institute, our swan song for Cimarex. We can call ourselves the FINAL FOUR. The weather was nice (except for one rainstorm) and of course the beach was…THE BEACH! The 80’s Totally Awesome Dance Party really was totally awesome…I still have blisters on my feet to prove it. The hotel was super nice and accommodating, the food, fun, networking and of course the classes were outstanding. The venue had everything we needed, we did not venture off the hotel property until it was time to go to the airport! Kudos to the NADOA members who volunteered to plan and implement this year’s Institute. The Institute provided much information especially for less experienced analysts. Even if you were only able to network with other professionals in the industry, the
