Do you know the difference between the emergency room and an urgent care? Do you know where to go when you are in need of medical care? In general, the emergency room should be visited if the problem is life threatening. Know before you go

Generally, the wait times are shorter at urgent care. Insurance companies accept visits to both urgent cares and emergency rooms. However, the average cost for an urgent care visit is $125-$160 whereas the emergency room could cost $400-$2,000 . Emergency rooms are available 24/7 and not all urgent care locations operate 24/7.
