Garage Sale for Charity was a Big Success
For the last few years, Janet Sutton has taken advantage of the Franklin Grove Harvest Festival’s town wide garage sales to raise funds for charity. The Har- vest Festival is held the first weekend in August each year and draws a lot of people to the small village. Janet asks for donations of garage sale items and all proceeds are donated to charities such as the American Cancer Society, or as in this year, the recipient was the Hospice of the Rock River Valley. The Hospice of the Rock River Valley is in the midst of fundraising to build a new facility in Dixon to serve the surrounding commu- nities and the donation made by Janet and her group of volunteers is a great boost to the fund.

Thank you to everyone who donated items, helped work the sale and those who shopped at the sale! We raised $3,200.00 for Hospice of The Rock River for their Hospice Home.
