white paper around the large one, and black paper around the other. Two of the needles should be large, and one small. Put one of the large needles on one prong of each magnet. Use the prongs which are not at tracted to each other. The heads of the needles should be flat against the m a g n e t s . Suspend the small needle, head up, from the point of the needle on the black magnet.) LESSON: W h e n t h e Lord Jesus called Simon and Andrew to be His disciples, He said, “Come ye after me, and I will make you to become fishers of men” (Mk. 1:17). I brought two magnets with me to help teach us what Jesus meant. This black magnet has two needles hanging from it. It reminds us of Satan and' his power. He often uses people to help hold others under his power. This large white magnet reminds us of Christ and His power. It has a large needle hanging from it. We will 1st this needle represent Peter and Andrew to whom Jesus said, “Come ye after me, and I will make you to become fishers of men.” Jesus is al ways w a n t i n g Christians to help draw others to Him. This needle on the white magnet is moving toward the needles held by the black magnet. Look, the little needle is trying to get away from the needle on the white magnet. [Attempt to put the points of the needles together. Both being connected with the same poles 6f the magnets, they will repel each other.] There is just one way for this large needle to catch the small one, »and that is by getting close to its heart. [Move the point of the large needle about half-way up the side of the small needle, and they will be attracted to each other.] Now the drawing power of the white magnet causes the needle to be dif ferent. [Move the magnets closer to gether, and the small needle will get close to the white magnet. Soon it will break lbose and jump to the white magnet.] Those who faithfully follow Christ will be taught by Him to fish for others. honor and glory, w hen there cam e such a voice to him from the excellent* glory, T h is is m y beloved Son, in w hom I am well pleased. 18 A n d this voice w hich càm e from heaven we heard, w hen we were w ith him in the holy mount. T he M ajesty of J esus (Mk. 9:2-4) J ESUS took three disciples with transfiguration that even His clothing glistened with a whiteness beyond anything nature could produce or art imagine. It was the outshining of the inherent character of His human perfection that up to that time was hidden from the sight of men. This glory was bestowed upon Him by God (2 Pet. 1:12-21). It was the humanity of Jesus that was being revealed— sinless, holy, and undefiled. With Him in glory appeared the representative of the law and of the prophets, M o s e s and Elijah. They talked with Jesus concerning what they had prophesied ^-of Him, that is, His death. They were manifested in

the other two men very much be cause they followed Jesus. When He heard them, the Lord Jesus turned and said, “What seek ye?” The men asked, “Rabbi ( . . . Master) • where dwellest thou?” T h e y were anxious to know m o r e about this wonderful man.. .. Jesus answered, “Come and see.” jj The men went with Jesus and spent the rest of the day with Him. What an interesting time they must have had! The first thing that Andrew did, after returning from his visit, was to find his brother Simon, and to bring him to Jesus, too. Sometime later, when Jesus was walking by the sea of Galilee, He saw Simon and Andrew fishing. Jesus said to them, “Come ye after me, and I will make you to become fishers of men.” Jesus meant that He wanted them to find other men and bring them to Him to be saved. Simon and Andrew gladly left their nets right away to follow Jesus, and to help Him fish for men. The Lord Jesus changed Simon’s name to Peter, and we all know what a blessing Peter has been to other Christians. Don’t you thirtk Andrew was glad that he had brought his brother to the Lord?
