of the envelope, keeping the complete side that bears the flap. Insert this side and flap in the uncut envelope with the gummed portion in the normal position for sealing the en velope. This will make à partition In the enyelope. Put one of the Roman numerals between the insert and the back. Before doing this make five red marks tìn the center upright of the Roman numeral III. Then stick the flaps together. Put the other Roman numeral in the front compartment of this envelope. On .the front of; this envelope print the word “HEAVEN.” Prepare the small envelopes in a like manner. Mark thè front with the word “GRAVE.” Seal the flaps together without putting anything in the back compartment. Make the Roman nu merals by using two pieces of yellow paper 3%x5. inches, Fold in thirds making the size 114x5 inches. Now cut out, a Roman numeral I with up right % inch wide, and cross bars % inch deep. Leave folded and place in the front compartment o f the large envelope.) LESSON:, This large envèlope is marked “HEAVEN.” When thinking of heaven, whom do you think of as being at home there? . “ God, Christ, and the Holy Spirit.” Yes, the Trinity should claim our first thought. We open this envelope and find a Roman numeral I suggest ing one God. When I unfold it, I find that it is a Roman numeral III, re minding us of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit: We will cut these apart, showing how the Son came down to earth. We will place the two remain ing pieces of paper back in the en velope and seal it. Let us now put this remaining Roman numeral I on the cross. When Christ was on the cross He received five wounds. We- will mark this piece of paper in five places with red crayon. The body of Chfist was taken down from the cross and placed in the grave. We will place this piece of paper, in the envelope marked “ GRAVE,” , and seal it. On the third day when the followers of Christ came to the1tomb, they found that it was already opened, and that Christ had been raised from the dead. We will cut the end off the envelope and look into it. The followers of Christ were greeted with the words, “He is not here, but is risen” (Lk. 24:6). [Open thè envelope and show the back com partment which will be empty.] After forty days, Christ went back to heaven. We will now open the en velope marked “HEAVEN.” Here we find a Roman numeral III, with the center upright having the five marks of the cross. In thinking of the Trinity and heaven, it is necessary to remember that the Son, the rejected Redeemer, is .risen and alive forever.
