public. Often we feel that we cannot leave the multitude for just one soul (cf. Acts 8:5, 6, 26). Conclusion Because John left the multitude to witness to the two, we have Andrew: (1) the first home missionary, (2) the first S u n d a y - school worker (he brpught a lad to Jesus in John 6:8, 9), and (3) the first foreign missionary .(he brought the Greeks to Jesus in John 12:20-23). Because Andrew witnessed to his brother, we have Peter: (1) the rock, (2) a great apostle, and (3) the hu man author of two books in God’s Word. The resurrection of Jesus Christ is in many respects the most important fact of Christian history. It is the rock upon which every doctrine of Chris tianity rests. Without the fact of a living Christ, Paul tells us that many things we hold dear as Christians— our testimony, our faith,-, our -hoce-i- are all vain (1 Cor. 15:13-19). Buts Christ is alive. “He lives, •He lives,,, . v |jg|| Christ Jfesus fweS'todayi He walks with hie and talks me Along life’s narrow way. He lives, He lives, Salvation to impart; You ask me how I know He li He lives within my heart.” * ^3 - For Those Who Have Topics The fact that Christ is alive that for every Christian there, ilSS ■I. conquerors through him that loved us” (Rom. 8:37). As we know His indwell ing power and are strengthened by His might in the inner man, we can say, "But thanks be to God which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ”. (1 Cor. 15>57). There is nothing more dishonoring to Him than a disciple of His who is yielding to the world, the flesh, or the devil, be cause he does not know the power of the risen Christ in his life. Do you know the Victor? Are you experienc ing the joy of daily victory over sin? III. A MASTER TO SERVE. His first words as the risen Saviour were to Mary as He told her to “Go . . . tell.” How wonderful it is to know that this commission is for all who have had the shed blood applied for their sins. We are debtors to go with the message of salvation to others.. “Christ has no hands but our hands To do His work today. He has no feet but our feet To lead men in His way. He has no tongue but our tongue To tell men how He died. He has no help but our help To ,lead them to His side.” —Author unknown. - r 1.' A COMING KING TO REWARD US. Often we think that because we are Saved ..by grace there is nothing for whieh to 'Strive. This is true when we S^|er>to salvation, but not true when S* consider rewards. We are told to fake heed- as Christians how we builds, ^ any man’s work abide . . . he shall fiive a reward” (1 Cor. 3:14).
